Relativity Space is expanding on the Space Coast, and the long-range plan is large enough to matter well beyond the launch pad. In a July 2026 announcement, Space Florida said the company expects its Florida growth to support thousands of high-paying jobs by the end of 2034.
The news is still an early signal rather than a hiring calendar. There is no public list yet showing exactly how many jobs will open each year, which occupations will arrive first, or when applicants should expect postings. But it gives Brevard workers time to understand the direction of travel.
What the expansion includes
Relativity is developing the reusable Terran R rocket at Cape Canaveral Spaceport. The Florida expansion includes a dedicated production facility along with additional testing and launch-support capacity across the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station area.
Space Florida calls the initiative Project Forge. The state aerospace agency also said the company may receive up to $134 million through the Florida Department of Transportation's Spaceport Improvement Program as the project develops.

The jobs will not all require an engineering degree
A rocket factory needs engineers, but it also needs technicians, welders, machinists, quality inspectors, logistics staff, buyers, safety specialists and production supervisors. Relativity's exact Brevard hiring mix has not yet been released, so job seekers should avoid treating any unofficial headcount or start date as final.
